The Beginning of Summer 2009

We got to go to Green Meadows farm in Kissimmee for Maddox's birthday. All the kids had a blast. The parents did as well. All the animals were awesome to touch. They took us on a train ride, a hay ride, let us catch ducks and chickens, and let us feed sheep and goats and milk a cow. Thanks Maddox

This is Cole's first basketball game. Getting use to team sports I believe will take him a bit of time. But I can say he is better than when he first started so we are progressing in the right direction.

Our next stop was a road trip. Yes with two little ones, some say that is nuts. But we stopped on the way up half way through. So that wasn't too bad. But we came staight back the 14 hours on the way home. I believe that is their limit. Cole said that his butt was asleep about the last 30 mins of the trip. I guess it really hurt. Can't imagine having to sit in a car seat with no wiggle room. Poor boys.

We got to go to Port Discovery which is a big indoor play area with everything imaginable. Every city needs one of those. It's about the cost of a Monkey Joes but with hours of different things to do. We got to see helicopters in the city and a big coast guard boat. The buildings downtown the boys loved bc they were so big. We got to go DC and see the White House, Lincoln Memorial, Captial building, Vietnam Wall, Washington Monument, and the Air and Space Museum and the Natural History one too with the dinosaurs......the boys loved that part.

Oh yeah the boys got to ride on their first train and subway. They thought that was too cool and were so excited to do that. They were also excited that they got to go thru a tunnel under the water......

Boys loved Uncle Ole's shop too. Too many cool things to do and also get into, especially this rope swing.........not really but it worked.

They boys didn't want to leave Aunt Sharon and Uncle Ole's house. They loved being up there and spending time with the family. THey loved catching lighting bugs also. Baby Laney was a big thing and still want to go see her to this day. I think she will always be known to them as Baby Laney even when she gets older, sorry Maris. Just yesterday Cole asked if it was time to go to Marisa's house to visit Baby Laney. He was sad when he found out that it wasn't quite possible. Soon I hope though!!!! Thanks to everyone up there, we had a blast and thanks to Aunt Sharon and Uncle Ole for putting us all up while we were there. Love you guys.
